GENRE: Romantic Suspense

Nicholas La Cour loves money. In the game of betrayer and betrayed he thinks his sister Lacey is the prefect target for his manipulative schemes to keep his financial ruin a secret.

Gorgeous Lacey La Cour lost her hopeful and playful spirit after being dumped by her childhood sweetheart. Now an adult, she is strong and independent.

Determined to find the answer to his money problems, Nicholas discovers his best friend Kienan Egan is strangely attracted to his sister Lacey.

Does his sister’s love life hold the answers to all of his problems?

Does Nicholas have the prefect plan?

A vengeful seduction is swept into play as tragic forces are unleashed in a dangerous game of deception and greed unlocking doors to the past.

Will Lacey discover her brother’s deception before it’s too late?

When it’s all said and done it’s all about the well-heed things in life, family, friendships, affairs, revenge, and romance.

At two o’clock that afternoon, Nicholas had just sat down at his desk after returning from lunch.  When a soft knock sounded on his door.

Dante walked in and quickly closed the door. “Nicholas, can I have a minute?”

Whenever Dante began a conversation with those words he wanted a favor.

Nicholas checked his watch.  “Sorry Dante, I’m really busy right now. Can this wait?”

“A friend of mine has a problem,” Dante began looking disoriented.

“I don’t fix problems for other people’s friends.”

“I know,” Dante said with a fraction of a pause.  “To be honest Nicholas, it’s a personal problem that I need your help with.”

Nicholas had just leaned back in his chair.  “Go on, I’m listening.”

Dante strolled around the room as he chose his words carefully. “It was a lucky coincidence my seeing you at that …..Ah club the other night?”

Nicholas knew where this conversation was now going. He’d seen the scene.  The bouncer wouldn’t let Dante in.  It must have been a humiliating experience he thought.

“Yeah Dante it was a coincidence,” Nicholas agreed.

“I wanted to personally thank you for talking to the bouncer and getting me in, he replied quickly.  “Experiences like that happen a lot to me….”

Dante stared back at Nicholas. It looked like he was truly interested in their conversation. He unloaded his soul. Finally, he felt free to talk to privately with Nicholas about his circumstances.   He knew how popular Nicholas and his friend Quinn Rolandis were. He’d heard about the parties the two attended. Parties where a man was treated like a king. Parties where the women serviced a man with their soft lips. Even now he felt aroused. The truth was, he wanted to be invited to one of their parties.

He circled Nicholas’ desk. “I sort of heard about the parties you and your best friend Quinn attend.”

“I bet you have,” Nicholas chucked, under his breath. This was starting to sound interesting. He thought about what he could get out of all of it.

All at once Dante leaned on his desk with an eager gleam in his eye. “Perhaps if you are helpful to me, in say getting me into certain parties and clubs, well, I could be helpful to you. Say here at work.”

“So far it’s sounding pretty good,” Nicholas said shaking his head. He wanted to hear Dante tell him out loud exactly what he was willing to do to help him. “So tell me precisely Dante, how you could help me, I mean here at work? If I help you.”
