Excerpt:

As I Follow, So Shall I Lead excerpt:

“Princess, might I have a word?” a deep voice startled her out of her thoughts.

“Prince Darcy!” she squeaked, jumping to her feet. “Of course.”

“Shall we take a walk? I understand you have only seen this room of the Chateau. I’d like to give you a tour,” he said, holding his hand out to her.

Hesitantly she reached out her own hand and nodded. Ever since Gala shared some of her experiences in the Chateau’s training rooms, Orla had been curious. Actually, she had been dying to know more. While Gala had not gone into details, she had spoken of the feelings evoked by some of her sessions. Orla longed to experience such feelings of freedom, power, and something indescribable. During the past few weeks, she had witnessed the beauty of a woman kneeling before a man, the protective gentleness in the eyes of a dominant, and the glow of pride when a dominant praised his submissive. Orla felt a tingle deep within her body and had to admit that she longed for such feelings as well.

“Do you understand the dual nature of this facility?” Darcy asked as he led her down an ornate hallway.

“I believe so,” she answered. “The Chateau trains people in the arts of dominance and submission. Submission primarily, because, according to Gala, every good dominant understands what it is like to be a submissive.”

“That’s right.”

“People pay handsomely for the privilege of coming here to learn. The tuition then pays for the training of warriors who are in resistance to Queen Ena. They wish to overthrow her and place me back on the throne,” Orla said quietly.

“Indeed. Orla, it was your father’s last wish that you also be trained,” Darcy stated. “I am more than willing to help you learn how to become an effective ruler, but to become an applicant, you must yourself request it. We do not force anyone here. We abide by the dictums of Safe, Sane, and Consensual.”

Orla stopped walking and turned to face Darcy. “I understand and greatly respect you for following those dictums. Over the past few years, I have had no choice in what I wear, what I eat, when I speak, what I do, not even when I sleep. I’m ready for freedom of choice. My father also taught me that freedom is possible only when everyone agrees to follow certain guidelines. I don’t know if I’m ready to consent to this training yet, but let’s finish the tour and then I’ll decide.”

Darcy smiled and Orla breathed a sigh of relief. Despite Gala’s assurances, she hadn’t been sure that Darcy would respect her decision.

“Princess, I see you are wise as well as cautious. Both excellent characteristics in both a ruler and a submissive. Shall we continue?” he asked before tucking her hand into the crook of his arm.

Orla’s eyes widened and her heart began to beat erratically as Darcy showed her every room of the Chateau. First, there was the Medical Room where applicants were given a thorough medical exam to determine their overall fitness. “No one is excluded because of a physical difficulty,” he explained, “but it is essential that a primary be intimately familiar with any limitations. For example, if an applicant has respiratory difficulties, then the primary knows never to engage in breath play and to be very, very cautious about gags.”

“Good to know you take safety seriously,” Orla commented.

“It’s the first S of our motto – Safe, Sane, and Consensual.”

The Importance of Book Clubs

Jae El Foster – Guest Post Blog

August 2018

I once began a book club in the tiny town that I reside in. There were about a half dozen or so of us, and we would meet once a month at the home or choice location of the person that had chosen that month’s book. It was always a mixture of a dignified tea party for book discussion and then, when available, a viewing of the film that we had read the book on. We would then discuss the film as well, and offer comparisons between it and the book.

We always dressed in costumed attire reflecting our book of choice. Once, a member chose Alice through the Looking Glass, and so we all dressed the part. This meeting was just down the road from my house, and so most of the members met here and we walked to the place of the meeting. In our fanciful Hatter, Rabbit, Queen and Alice costumes, we were stopped by the police, inquiring as to what we were doing and where we were going. I answered, “Why, to a tea party, of course!” and invited him to join us. I am certain that my invitation only confused him further, and he decided it best to let us continue along our merry way.

After a few years, our small book club broke apart. Whereas most of the former members are still close friends, we no longer meet for our gatherings. Without the book club, I realize the importance of revitalizing this dying art once again.

It is not just me who sees the beauty in book clubs. Hollywood and Indie filmmakers have been presenting the subject to us for years. One of my favorite cases of this is The Jane Austin Book Club, which is a fantastic, romantic story. Most recently, we had movie night at my home and watched The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society on Netflix. This amazingly beautiful romance for the ages tells the tale of an unlikely and accidental book club, formed during the Nazi occupation of Guernsey.

The best part about both The Jane Austin Book Club and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is that both of these films were books before they were turned into movies. I have not read the Guernsey book yet, but I am looking forward to it. Perhaps, if I play my cards right, I can get together a new book club to enjoy the book with me.

I have never written about a book club, or even a character that might have been a part of a book club, but inspiration is everywhere. Perhaps one day, I will settle down at my desk and craft a novel loosely based on my old book club. I guarantee it would be humorous and lively.

Book club or not, I do enjoy utilizing my readers when I write. Currently, I am hosting a contest on my website. People may sign up for a chance to become a character in one of my upcoming books. I am also preparing for my biggest contest ever – a huge giveaway that will be awarded to the first person that completes the highly thought-out and challenging contest. I am tight-lipped on this one, as details will not be released until September. Those details will be available on my blog and in my newsletter. Of course, to keep up with all of this and a whole lot more, I encourage readers to follow me on Twitter @jaeelbooks and to visit my website at www.jaeelbooks.com – visitors can view my blog, sign up for my newsletter, find my current releases, and enjoy some goodies that are specific and specialized to my website. Free stories are often shared on my blog, and there are tabs on the website that will lead you to my Free Flash Fiction – with new stories added monthly – and Stories behind the Stories, a collection of essays that go behind the scenes and into the story-writing process of some of my most popular titles.

There is also a submissions page on the website, where I post open calls for submissions from small publishers across the web. I encourage publishers to visit the page and submit their open calls for placement. I have helped a few publishers find fresh writing talent this way.

Still, the thing I hope everyone takes away from this the most is the importance of the book club. Whether you host one online, at a restaurant, or at your home, I encourage you to embrace this great way to share books with friends you are fond of. In a time when everyone is hooked on their phones, on their Facebook accounts, or even on Twitter, reading is more important than ever. We cannot lose this art and become an illiterate society. If we do, we shall surely return to the dark ages.

Bring peace where you go, smile at strangers, and remember to always pay it forward.

UPDATED Book Cover Single&Looking Cover eBook Daisy 39 Coach.jpg

AT FIRST, DAISY IGNORES HER CAT’S DATING ADVICE.

Daisy will turn 40 in eleven months and has never married. Her family figures Daisy is a loser because she is still in college trying to avoid paying off her student loans which have amassed over 22 years of a miseducation. And all Daisy has is a cat to keep her company. To make the crises worse, her cat begins talking to Daisy, when she is sober! The mess of Daisy’s life is even kookier because the cat is cursing and smoking now and drinking more alcoholic beverages. Mm, there must be a connection to all this flowing alcohol, which may explain the bubbly in Daisy’s brain. Her sisters and mother insist on setting Daisy up on six blind dates and all the men are named after liquor.

A heartwarming, LOL book that will make you smile.

Read an Excerpt:

Her heart stopped at the sound of claws coming down the hallway.

What is that rolling sound?

There was the sound of heavy breathing at the door followed by, “I brought you a bottle of wine, dearie,” the cat said, cackling like an old witch.

She tiptoed over to the door. “I suppose you have a poisoned apple, too, in that filthy paw of yours.”

“I didn’t bring a wormy apple. Would you like a nice unopened bottle of Pinot Noir instead?”

Daisy twisted a fist in her yellow Adult Cinderella nightgown. Her big toe stuck out of her slippers. She did not drink this early in the day or was even up on a Saturday morning, but her sisters had banged on the bedroom window. Aunt Davina slammed a picture of Jesus against the window and screamed, “Pray to God, Daisy, that The Man watching football from the clouds will toss you a husband as good as my John! Maybe you will catch a Matthew or a Peter!”

“I dated a Peter once and he was really a dick,” Daisy yelled back.

Given the day she was having, a morning drink could hit the I-feel-good-about-myself spot right on.

Daisy should act strong and tell the cat to go catch a mouse.

On the other hand, a stiff drink would calm the lizards jogging around her brain. The mind racing was due to her new mad-as-a-hatter relationship with her cat.

“Uh, a glass of wine would be good,” she squeaked.

Loving him is easy.

Fearing him is necessary.

Trusting him could be a deadly mistake.

Born deaf and living with an anxiety disorder, Brooke Hartley manages life in five-minute intervals. It’s all she can do to get out of bed each morning. She’s hidden inside her sister’s apartment for over a year.

Everything changes when Brooke’s sister goes missing. Her fragile world crashes. She is desperate to find her, and she’ll need help.

Haunted by a past he needs to forget, Scott Derrico keeps to himself until his gallery manager, Autumn Hartley, suddenly disappears. He is forced out of his isolation to help a woman that needs him with a terrifying intensity.

Scott tries to deny his attraction to Brooke. He doesn’t want to get emotionally involved but he craves her like nothing else. And, for her, he is a dark and sexy diversion to overcome her fear.

With a genuinely flawed and relatable heroine and a mysterious and protective hero, you won’t want this love story to end. You’ll beg…for another five minutes…

Read an Excerpt:

Brooke watched as Scott poured a double shot of liquor and drained it. He faced her long enough for her to see him say, “I’m sorry. It looks like we’ll have to wait to go see Zack.”

When he turned back to pour another, Brooke put her laptop down, hurried to him, and covered the glass with her hand, shaking her head back and forth. She worried about him. The cops would be back to talk to him, and she didn’t want him to be drunk when they did.

She took his hand away from the glass and traced, S.O.B.E.R.

He gave her a humorless grin. “Do you really think you want me sober right now?”

It wasn’t so much his words as the look in his green eyes that scared her, and she backed away from him.

He advanced. “If you don’t want me to drink, you’re going to have to give me something else to do.”

Gulping, she retreated further, and her back bumped the wall behind her. In the next instant he was standing right in front of her. Grasping her face between his hands, he tilted her head up and kissed her.

Brooke spread her arms wide in surprise, and he came closer, trapping her to the wall. She had no time to object, and she didn’t want to. He kissed her hard, the anger she sensed earlier radiating out of him. It should have scared her, but it didn’t. She wanted more.

AMALFI COAST

The moment we were all comfortably seated, we were inundated with food, in the best way possible. We didn’t order one thing; it was all brought to us. Whatever the chef was cooking was what was served, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Every plate was also a work of art: each was hand-painted, colorful, and artistic. And before we knew it, music filled the air when the owner’s niece took a microphone and asked all the patrons to join in on a sing-along.

The Italian blond beauty entertained us with her soothing voice, ethnic songs, and gregarious hospitality.

Her rousing renditions of both familiar and unfamiliar songs left us ready to sit back and enjoy the end of our memorable meal. Served family style, it was a meal that included five appetizers, five entrees, homemade wine, pear grappa, and five desserts. It was extravagant, yet unpretentious.

As desserts and limoncello came to the table, so did the owner–chef. Every bite that was served was natural and simply prepared, yet it was the most delicious food I’d ever eaten.

About the Author:

Beth Daigle is a lifelong New Englander residing north of Boston with her husband and daughters. Prior to settling into her role as a writer, Beth was a marketing professional whose favorite part of the job was writing. As a freelancer, Beth has enjoyed contributing to numerous lifestyle and home publications, yet she yearned for something more than a magazine article. Then along came Musing Mediterranean. Beth quickly became immersed in chronicling this travel event and articulating her perceptions of the places she visited, the people she met, the foods she enjoyed and the crazy moments she encountered. The idea that someone who may never travel to Greece, Italy or Turkey could appreciate this experience through Beth’s eyes became a driving force behind the story. Revealing her struggle with travel anxiety helped Beth move forward and embrace, once again, how very wonderful it is to travel the world.

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.” St. Augustine.

Beth is a creative soul who finds joy in art, home design, gardening, reading, writing, a good laugh, and an even better television show.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Teaser_Cloaked
Excerpt:
Fawkes’ attack pressed Charlotte backward, and soon they were outside. As Charlotte’s feet slipped in the mud, she realized she had lost her size advantage. Lightning cracked across the sky, illuminating her surroundings long enough to blind her, and she failed to anticipate the next punch. It landed hard on her right shoulder and spun her around.
Before she could steady herself to counter, her arm was wrenched behind her back. Fawkes had a grip on it with one hand, the other around her throat. She stood flush against him, feeling his harsh breath and pounding heart as it beat against her back. They stood like statues, neither one of them wanting to the first to break the spell.
The roar of thunder made her jump and brought them back to reality. “I’ve gotten better, haven’t I?” Charlotte couldn’t help asking. She’d meant it as a quip, but it came out too hopeful.
She felt Fawkes sigh, tensing his hold on her before dropping his grip. With her back still to him, she waited for his answer. Instead, his hand brushed wet hair back from her face before a finger traveled down and traced her jawline. Charlotte leaned into the touch, but then it was gone. She turned to see only darkness, and then a flash of lightning showed his tall frame heading back to the cave.
Interview With the Author:
  1. How long have you been a published author?
This is my debut novel, so I’ve been published for a grand total of five days! However, I’ve been working toward getting published for about five years. Cloaked is my third novel. It took three books to really get my style and process down.
  1. Do you have any new releases coming soon?
No releases scheduled yet after this one, but I am working on a fourth novel. Fingers crossed it gets published also!
  1. If you could co-write with another author who would it be?
If I could co-write with a Wild Rose Press sister, I would pick Mary Morgan. She is an unbelievably kind and talented author. Her Dragon Knights series has a similar feel to Cloaked, so I think we would work well together.
  1. Do you listen to music while writing? If yes, what songs are your favorites?
I write best with white noise, preferably outside in nature or in a coffee shop. If I listen to music I just start singing along and get distracted. When I’m not writing, I like listening to The Lumineers, Vance Joy, and Dirty Heads.
  1. What genres do you write in?
I write adult fiction, usually Women’s Fiction or category romance. My writing tends to include fantastical elements, though, and favors magical realism or light fantasy.
  1. If you could write anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to sit down and write for an afternoon in the Elephant House. It’s the cafe in Edinburgh, Scotland where J.K. Rowling drafted Harry Potter. There has to be some serious magic in the place.
Heir to his family’s global empire, branding genius Miguel Astacio turns everything into marketing gold. Only his best friend’s sister seems immune to his magic touch. Until Tanya Carrington comes to him to save her floundering nightclub. Miguel is ready to rectify past mistakes. But will his supreme sacrifice win the heart of the woman he loves?
Read an Excerpt:
Firm hands held her by the shoulders and turned her around before she could grip the handle of the door. When he pulled her in close, she pressed her hands against his chest and tried to push away. She really did, but ended up gripping the lapels of his suit jacket so she could rest her head against his broad chest.
For the first time since the night he’d destroyed her, she released the pain she’d been holding in. The sobs shook her body as he rubbed her back. She cried so hard that his words were lost on her, but the calming vibrations passing into her chest soothed. When the dam finally closed, she sniffled as the hiccups made their unfortunate appearance.
He released her and looked down into what must look like a monstrous mess of a face. Wiping the tears from her cheeks with the pads of his thumbs, her heart stilled when for the briefest of moments, he angled his head as if he was coming in for a kiss. Her captured breath burned within her lungs in anticipation, ready to relive his soft lips pressed to hers. Her nipples tightened at the prospect. Without warning, he stepped away.
Leading her to the couch, he sat her down and handed her a box of tissues. The unladylike sound that came when she blew her nose didn’t make her feel any more comfortable. He went to the refrigerator, took out a bottle of water and twisted off the cap before handing it to her.
Tanya gulped the liquid to reduce the flame of mortification heating her head while she avoided his gaze. Had she actually thought he’d kiss her? She may have lost weight and looked okay, but he could have any woman in the world. Why would he want her? She’d never forget how he’d treated her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BookCover_PerfectMistake

EXCERPT:

 Carlo pushed away from the doorframe, took a few steps towards them and stuck out his hand. A sharp pinch from Michael snapped her out of her flustered state, and she offered hers. Carlo’s hand was cool and dry, sending a tremor through her as he wrapped it around hers.

“Simone.”

“Mr…Carlevaro.” She cleared her throat as he let go. She couldn’t help but rub her sweaty palm against her jeans. Touching his cool skin had felt like a disgrace.

“I’m glad you’ve finally arrived.” Carlo’s gaze traveled over her face. It rested on her lips for a moment before it shot back to her eyes. “I want to take off in the next thirty minutes.”

Simone’s heart, which had, for those treacherous few seconds, stood still, started to pound.

“I just landed from a long-haul flight. I’d like to take a quick shower.”

Carlo raised an eyebrow. “A quick shower?” His gaze traveled over her body, mapping the route the water would take.

God, he remembered.

Heat rushed to her cheeks at the potent memories that flooded in her mind. Years ago they had shared many showers that were everything but quick.

INTERVIEW:

What are four things you can’t live without?

Tea with milk, in the British way. My kindle. My Ikea spatulas, they are old and worn, but boy, they do the trick. The Times World Atlas I inherited from my dad.

What is your favorite television show?

I love Master Chef UK and Master Chef Australia.

If you could be any character, from any literary work, who would you choose to be? Why?

Elizabeth Bennet. She was her witty self, not shy to give her pert opinions, put Darcy right in his place and still won the most eligible bachelor.

What have you got coming soon for us to look out for?

I’ve got the sequel of Perfect Mistake, titled Perfect Addiction, coming out soon. This is the story of Julia Carlevaro, Carlo’s sister. There is a little erotic romance in the pipeline as well, called The Paris Apartment. I plan for a September release for that one.

What books or authors have most influenced your own writing?

So many! I think we take something from every book and every magazine article we read, and every tale we are told.

Excerpt:

I’m getting a very weird feeling. I consider turning around and leaving, but getting a cab on a cold rainy night before 2AM is going to be tough as they don’t begin frequenting the area until the bars start to close, and the nearest Uber appears to be 25 minutes away. Plus, I did go to all of this trouble to get my lazy self dressed and over here.

There is a crest engraved in brass metal on the front of the red door, an intricately designed crown and some lettering. I tilt my head to read it all the way around. ‘Alea iacta est memores acti prudentes uturi modus operandi’ I read aloud, and below, ‘Posteriori’. I recognize the language as Latin from the three weeks we spent on it during Intro to Languages, which was designed to help us choose one to focus on during our tenure at the university

Against my better judgment, I push on the heavy door, which creaks open. I enter into a cold stone-walled hall with a stone slab floor, lit by what appears to be a row of fire lanterns on each side. I guess this place is a bit behind the times in converting, or maybe they think it’s super ironic and hipster to not jump on the modernization bandwagon. Or maybe it’s me. I’m not exactly the authority on architectural trends. Maybe converted vintage is over and re-vintaged vintage is back in. Ugh, I can’t wait until I’m old and have an excuse not to be hip.

I walk down a windy stone hallway that seems straight out of a period film. Wow, they are really taking this theme seriously. How cool would it be if this stuff was authentic? I take a few pictures with my phone just in case. I mean as Cultures Editor, it’s always nice to be the one to discover the next big thing, like Connor said.

As I round the corner I hear, before I see, a British male mumbling to himself, apparently in debate.

“It’s so bizarre. But it couldn’t be. Could it? Stranger things have happened.”

I find myself face to face with a short-ish man, though taller than me, with glasses, wearing a sports coat with suede elbow patches. I scream in surprise and jump about five feet in the air. He seems slightly taken aback as well but less jumpy than me, or at least less vocal about it. He’s good looking in an intellectual sort of way and his dark floppy hair is conservatively combed back. I’m not sure if he’s startled by our unexpected encounter or my scream, but he does a bit of a double back.

“Sorry,” he recovers charmingly, “I didn’t see you there.”

“No, me either.” I try to breathe. I feel like I know him from somewhere.”

“Stuart Stephens.” He proffers his hand in greeting.

“Olivia Grace Thorpland.” I shake his in return. “But you can call me Gigi.”

“Hello, Gigi. Nice to meet you.” He is impeccably mannered even after our near death collision. Must be the British thing.

“So are you here for the party too?” I inquire. “Do you know where it is?”

“Party?” he asks, confused. “No, I just had a meeting here.”

“Ah, I see,” I say, although I don’t, given the hour. I definitely know him from somewhere. Got it, he’s a comedian.

“Well, care to join me anyway?” I offer politely. After all, he’s British, I’m being a good ambassador. He appears a bit bewildered.

“No, thanks. I best be going.”

“Are you sure? My friends are in there.”

“Really? Your friends are in there?” He seems surprised to see where I’m gesturing.

“Yup,” I tell him confidently.

“Oh, well, thanks for the invite, but I’m completely sure. Thanks anyway,” comes his nervous reply. “But, can I ask you a question?” I nod. “Is this all, um, kosher?”

“I, I, don’t know.” I hesitate. Is he Jewish and British? Is that a thing?

“Well, I’ll let you get on “he says. “Have a good night.”

“You too. Bye,” I reply. And with that, we walk off in opposite directions.

Finally, I reach a semi-circled entryway that has the option of five doors, one straight ahead and two on either side. These are not your ordinary doors either. They are heavy, arched, rustic, dark brown, slated wooden doors. I’m not really in the mood to crash a wedding reception, murder, or worse, a live band performance; and, given that anything could be behind these doorways, I’m about to give up on this expedition completely, when one of the doors, the entryway smack dab in the center, starts to creak open, apparently of its own accord. A feeling of unexpected dread overtakes me. I brace myself, unsure of what to expect to find behind it.”

Interview with the Author:

How long have you been a published author?

This is my debut novel. I’ve had some poetry featured in magazines but this is my first book!

Do you have any new releases coming soon?

I’m working on a poetry collection for the fall.

If you could co-write with another author who would it be?

Contemporary: John Green.

Any author ever, in history: Dorothy Parker. She’s so clever and witty. I’d also love to have been around to experience the roaring 20s.

Do you listen to music while writing? If yes, what songs are your favorites?

Yes, I need music to write! It depends on my mood as to what I listen to. If I’m not in a particular mood but just need to get creative, it’s Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Dashboard Confessional or Ingrid Michaelson. Those are my go-tos. If I need to write fast or want to be in a fun, upbeat headspace, it’s all about pop: Taylor Swift, The Chainsmokers and Selena Gomez. If I need to write something heartbreakingly sad, Adele, The Lumineers, The Killers and when all else fails, My Chemical Romance drowns out everything else so I can focus.

What genres do you write in?

Comedy, Romance, YA and Poetry

If you could write anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Any café/coffee shop with a nice view and a good vibe

Nikki

I’m not a saint. Never claimed to be. I’ve played the game and scored my fair share—both on and off the field. This is why I should have known better than to fall for a hockey player. But I did. I fell fast and hard.

Now I’m left with the painful consequences, reminded every day of how reckless I had been by giving him my heart so easily—so willingly. Dalt broke me in the cruelest of ways, and because of him I’ll never be able to love again.

Dalt

Nikki changed me. She made me want to be a better man. My days playing off the field were over because she owned every little piece of my heart…until she left, leaving behind a gnawing ache where my heart used to be.

Now she’s back, and it’s painfully clear she hates me, ignoring me, pretending like I’m nobody to her. But that’s just too damn bad. I want answers. I want a goddamn explanation.

And most of all…I want her.

Read an Excerpt:

Pacing the floor in my bedroom, still wrapped in my towel, the ever-present ache for him thrums through me, pummeling my common sense into submission. The devil and angel sides of my subconscious clash. The devil’s tempting need swirls and whispers to me, You can’t go on like this, especially not now when he’s ten feet away from you and naked in the shower. The angel argues, There’s so much more you want from Dalt than the incredible multi-orgasmic sex. She’s a very liberated angel. The devil snaps back, You can’t have it. He’s already promised those things to someone else.

Argh. I can’t deal with this inner conflict any longer. It’s making me crazy.

Take what you can get, the devil taunts. Use him to fulfill your need just as he used you and then move on. I don’t give Miss Goody Two Shoes time to respond. I jump in Mr. Id’s corner and decide I can play pump and dump just as well as Dalt can. Jesus. I may have taken one too many psychology classes for my own good. Whatever. I can do this, use him and toss him away. This time I’m going to be the one in control. I’m going to f*** him right out of my universe and walk away.

About the Author:

As a lover of the northeast US, Elizabeth moved with her husband to the Poconos several years ago to open a Chiropractic Clinic. Four children and a menagerie of animals later, she has finally found time to fulfill her lifelong dream of writing novels. The wild ride of writing books is one of the most difficult things she’s ever done in her life. But the opportunity to get her stories out of her head and down on paper and send them out into the world is also one of the most wonderful things she’s ever done. A dreamer at heart, romance is the genre she spends most of her time writing and reading into the wee hours of the morning. And having readers fall in love with her characters as much as she does is almost as exciting as giving birth (just not as painful!) When not juggling work responsibilities and writing, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking the beautiful hills and woods around her home, swimming, knitting, watching old classic movies and travelling.
